В статье осуществлен сравнительный анализ концептуальных положений политической философии Т. Гоббса и Б. Спинозы, а также рассмотрены онтологические и антропологические положения их философских систем, ставшие предпосылками общего и отличного во взглядах на политику. Выступая представителями двух крупнейших философских направлений Модерна – британского эмпиризма и континентального рационализма - оба мыслителя описывают политическую реальность посредством схожих категорий, что обусловлено общими механистическими предпосылками нововременной философии. В то же время политические теории Гоббса и Спинозы содержат ряд серьёзных расхождений, которые касаются как объяснительной модели механизмов конституирования политического порядка, так и сферы этических оценок тех или иных политических явлений в ретроспективе.
The article provides a comparative analysis of the conceptual positions of the political philosophy of T. Hobbes and B. Spinoza, and also examines the ontological and anthropological positions of their philosophical systems, which have become prerequisites for common and different views on politics. Speaking as representatives of the two largest philosophical trends of Modernity – British empiricism and continental rationalism – both thinkers describe political reality through similar categories, which is due to the general mechanistic prerequisites of modern philosophy. At the same time, the political theories of Hobbes and Spinoza contain a number of serious discrepancies that concern both the explanatory model of the mechanisms of the constitution of the political order and the scope of ethical assessments of certain political phenomena in retrospect.
