<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The article explores the potential of using virtual (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technologies to optimize the training of specialists in the oil and gas industry. The emphasis is on reducing costs and improving the quality of training. Based on the analysis of literature, conceptual and empirical research, the key advantages of VR/AR have been identified: high student engagement, effective development of practical skills, reduction of risks and costs. The author's typology of VR/AR solutions adapted to the needs of the oil and gas sector is proposed. The empirical base consisted of data from surveys, tests, and expert interviews (N=312). It was found that the integrated implementation of VR/AR in the educational process correlates with an increase in students' academic performance (r=0.78; p&lt;0.01), a reduction in time spent on mastering the material (by an average of 32%), and minimization of errors in practice (by 41%). Applied recommendations on the design of VR/AR content and the integration of technologies into the corporate training system have been developed. The results obtained have theoretical value for the development of the concept of immersive education and practical significance for optimizing personnel training in the oil and gas industry.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><title>Ключевые слова</title><kwd>виртуальная реальность</kwd><kwd>дополненная реальность</kwd><kwd>нефтегазовая отрасль</kwd><kwd>корпоративное обучение</kwd><kwd>эффективность</kwd><kwd>оптимизация затрат</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><title>Keywords</title><kwd>virtual reality</kwd><kwd>augmented reality</kwd><kwd>oil and gas industry</kwd><kwd>corporate training</kwd><kwd>efficiency</kwd><kwd>cost optimization</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group>
